gayporwaveHeya, this is my Yuletide letter. It's my first time participating in Yuletide so I'm excited \o/. My ao3 user name is gayporwave.

I love the Curse of Strahd module, gothic horror for D&D sounds like a strange thing to add in but it works. Strahd von Zarovich is a very interesting character to step into the shoes of and interact with. I also fell in love with Sir Godfrey and Vladimir. Gay ghosts after my heart <3
(Spoilers below, don't look if you would rather not be spoiled for the module!)
I personally run Curse of Strahd with a genderbent Strahd (I named her Carmilla after a certain famous lesbian vampire), I'd love fic based on genderbent Strahd, how does she differ from canon Strahd? What's her relationship with Ireena Kolyana like? (Not opposed to some fucked up F/F smut.) How differently does she deal with adventurers and the various ills that have befallen Barovia?
Or if you'd just like to write original flavor Strahd, I'd love something about some of his exploits with the adventurers he's pulled into his realm across the years. What cruelty has he gotten up to? Given that Esher is in his basement and is implied to be one his playthings has he ever taken another male adventurer as a lover? What does Strahd do besides mope around in his castle?
As for Godfrey and Vladimir, I'd love something with them pre-death. How did they come to be lovers? Or something with Godfrey reacting to how twisted Vladimir's become due to being a revenant. His single minded determination to keep Strahd in eternal torment which consumes him so much that he can't recognize his own lover. Maybe something with Godfrey after lighting the beacon of Argynvostholt and freeing Vladimir's soul, maybe he's sad that Vladimir has moved on while he hasn't due to Strahd still living?
As we all know, Barovia will never truly be free but for the sake of the prompt, what if? A fic of Godfrey and Vladimir meeting in the afterlife finally happy and free from the suffering of Barovia would be really sweet. Finally, the happiness that eluded them while they were alive. (If you want to go dark with this one, they only think they're free only later to find themselves still trapped in Barovia.)

I love how stupid and campy AHS: Hotel was. I also loved how Ramona and the Countess' relationship played out and I really ship John/JPM as the best ghost murderhusbands.

I love salads so much in GW2 and think they deserve all the fic in the world. Especially some gay salad shipping!
Faolain gets "reborn" but has no memories of her past life and maybe she still has some surface-level corruption like "scarring" and maybe even being too big, she's just kinda wandering around the jungle and there's been some intercepted reports that the Nightmare Court has been making expeditions into the jungle and rumors Faolain was sighted somewhere, so Caithe goes to investigate. She boths hopes Faolain is alive again but also doesn't want to see her again. It's complicated.
Slowburn with revenant!Commander. He can 'access' Trahearne's spirit after restoring Caladbolg, he likes talking to his friend again as they never really got the chance to talk much during the war. It's nice to have someone to talk to about things even if he can't be there in person and he finds himself rarely if ever trying to 'connect' to another spirit... Then someone steals Caladbolg, and revenant!Commander can't 'access' him anymore, and with the danger of losing him again the Commander realizes how much Trahearne means to him. Some very angsty potential.
Bad End!AU where the Commander and Caithe didn't manage to reunite Destiny's Edge, and despite the Commander and Trahearne's pleas that it could still work even without the whole team back together, Caithe just falls into a depression and wanders off, nobody knows where she's gone, even the Pale Tree can't seem to track her down, but Caithe was with Faolain who gave her the same talk about "let's just stay together while the world ends" speech from that dream of Orr.
Canach and sylvari!Commander flirting and sparring, trying to keep their minds off the siren song of Mordremoth and focus on something else instead (someone gets slammed into the wall/ground at least once).
I will totally admit that Logan/Rytlock is my crackship and I'll stand by it, I'd love to see how they got together and how people might react to such an odd couple. How does Logan feel about Rytlock's prolonged absence in the mists? How does Rytlock feel about missing his friend? Some interesting possibilities.
Please no Path of Fire spoilers, I don't have the expansion yet!

I'm still in love with the Luteces, they're such interesting and great characters.
I would absolutely love fic of an AU where instead of Rosalind meeting Robert she meets another female version of herself. I think it would be interesting to see how their lives might have diverged (and maybe some even weirder selfcest because we all know Rosalind is a narcissist). There isn't the contrast of Robert's more demure personality vs Rosalind's headstrong nature, but differences in other Rosalind's life might affect her personality in big ways.
I would absolutely love fic of an AU where instead of Rosalind meeting Robert she meets another female version of herself. I think it would be interesting to see how their lives might have diverged (and maybe some even weirder selfcest because we all know Rosalind is a narcissist). I also think fic of them post-canon turned mortal again would be interesting, how do they live their lives now that they aren't supernatural entities anymore? Does it take some getting used to? What do they do to keep occupied? They're so fun to watch/read because they play off of each other in great ways. Maybe there's some tension as Rosalind finds that she misses the life they had while Robert is content to settle down? Do they even know how to handle arguing with each other for so long, I imagine that it's new territory for them. Usually they agree with each other and if they don't it doesn't take long to come to an agreement.
I got super into the idea of Booker/Robert, I would love fic for the two. How does Rosalind react to finding out part of the reason why Robert doesn't want to give up on Booker is that he has feelings for him alongside his guilt over what they've done. Was it something that either of them really expected? How does Booker feel especially after the death of his wife? What does he do? Lots of possibilities.
Fandom: Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Characters: Cornet Espoir, Etoile Rosenqueen
Okay so, the entire game I was absolutely bored with the romance between Cornet and Prince Ferdinand. I found myself more invested in Cornet and Etoile's cute rivalry than anything. Then I started shipping them. Oops.
I would love for a fic where Cornet doesn't realize that Etoile has feelings for her (maybe the feelings started when they were friends as children) and that's part of why she's so mean, because Etoile has absolutely no idea how to handle her weird feelings for Cornet at all. I imagine Cornet is just so frustrated and then Etoile kisses her out of nowhere and then, "Oh so that's why!"
Really, any fic that focuses on the two of them getting together, it's just such a cute ship. The cruel haughty rich girl falls for the poor peasant girl. Maybe some angst about how Cornet is going to marry the prince and Etoile wants to confess before it's too late? Maybe Cornet is the one to fall first and thinks it's all unrequited? Or, they both have feelings that they think are mutually unrequited? Cornet probably thinks a girl like Etoile would never fall for her meanwhile Etoile can't bring herself to apologize for being such a brat and confess because she's stubborn.
Or, a fic set post-canon that highlights the ways that both Cornet and Etoile change as they grow and how they've come back together. Etoile isn't the bratty rich girl she used to be and Cornet, although older, never really stopped being such a hopeless romantic.
Fandom: Shadowrun: Hong Kong

So, I am still absolutely in love with Shadowrun: Hong Kong and would love love love some fic for it. Is0bel/Gobbet is one of my most favorite ships from it alongside Duncan/M!Protag and Racter/Gaichu.
Some fic exploring either Is0bel and Gobbet's life before the start of the game would be amazing. We know that Gobbet saved her from the Walled City? Why? What is some of the stuff they've done pre-game canon? They have history both together and separately that can be explored. They could also be FWBs and that leads to catching feelings (one of my favorite tropes). Gobbet is not good with feelings, neither is Is0bel. They both care for each other but don't really know how to be open emotionally. How does this play out? Especially when Is0bel gets her memories back...
Another idea is after a particularly risky mission from Kindly Cheng where Gobbet almost doesn't make it back, Is0bel has a panic attack because oh god Gobbet almost DIED. She then realizes just how much Gobbet means to her, how they've been together for each other through thick and thin: from rescuing her from the Walled city, to working in a triad together, and everything. Is0bel doesn't really have the confidence or emotional openness to tell her she loves her though so she just pines. Or maybe she confesses? Or maybe some post-game, "we just saved the day!" emotional sex.
As for Racter and Gaichu, I'm honestly in love with the idea of them becoming the most unexpected of friends or getting together. Weird Russian half-cyborg uncle who lives in the basement/Japanese zombie samurai is the ODD couple. Gaichu didn't think he would like Racter at all and Racter felt much the same way. Somehow they become friends and Racter enjoys his company. They talk philosophy for hours, no-one else can stand them. Racter finds that it's really nice to have someone who doesn't feel afraid to disagree with him, someone that is almost as well read and educated as he is.
Onto Duncan and M!Protagonist. In the novelization it outlines how they meet but what's your take on it? How did they survive together for so long only relying on each other. I would love fic where M!Protag realizes that his feelings for Duncan were never quite as platonic as he thought especially seeing Duncan after so long (he's buff now!) I just really love the relationship between the protag and Duncan in-game. A bit fraught at times but you can definitely tell they both care for each other.
I am also totally cool with any combination of ships between the guys.

There is so much potential and history for Ramona and the Countess! I'm so sad that we only got to see just a tiny portion of their relationship. What did they do together all those years that Ramona was the Countess' but the Countess was never hers? How exactly did their relationship falling apart go? They spent ~20 years together, I'm sure they got up to some interesting things in that time. I'd love something angtsy but hot especially sex with bloodplay.
Or that hatesex scene Ryan Murphy deprived us of. (It can even be Ramona is trying to have hatesex but she cares about the Countess way too much and it just ends up bittersweet emotional but passionate sex). Maybe something post-canon where Ramona finds that her and Elizabeth surprisingly get along better now that Elizabeth is dead.
As for John and James, there's so much unhealthy murder husbands potential to tap into. We all saw that James was wayyy too into John for it to be 100% platonic right? Maybe some fucking to celebrate John's first murder?
I just love the idea of these two having a weird sex and murder filled crazy relationship. James Patrick Marsh is a surprisingly caring lover when he's not being obsessive and is very attentive to John in his own twisted way. Something exploring when JPM invited John to his Halloween dinner would be great, JPM could get a little jealous John was getting a lot of attention from his other protégés. Or something with all of their Halloween dinners post-John's death?
Maybe an AU where John actually managed to reach far enough into the Cortez's space that he counted as dying on the grounds and now lives in the hotel instead of having to visit every Devil's Night?
